When searching for real estate in "Fletcher," make note of whether it is located in Buncombe County or Henderson County.

Just to confuse the world, there is a small section of Buncombe County that is served by the Fletcher post office and, therefore, displays a mailing address of Fletcher, North Carolina.

However, the actual City of Fletcher is completely within the boundries of Henderson County. Thus, most mailing addresses indicating Fletcher, NC, are in Henderson County.

One prominent golf course community, High Vista, straddles the county line. Most of the community is in Henderson County, but a few homes are located in Buncombe.

Most importantly, when calling for emergency services or making a real estate decision based on a particular school district, be certain that you know which county serves your Fletcher address.
