However, "mailing cities" are more useful in locating where a specific real estate property is located. Some of the cities listed are actually "mailing cities," that is, cities in name only and are not incorporated.

2. The city proper of Fletcher is entirely within Henderson County.
3. Skyland is a U.S. Post Office located in South Buncombe, just north of Arden and south of Asheville. While many people refer to the "Skyland area," technically, Skyland is not a mailing city, because the post office offers only mailboxes and counter service, and does not deliver mail to any area.
